An Airdrop is a promotional activity commonly used by crypto projects, as a means of creating awareness for their projects while they reward participants with free pecks for carrying out specific tasks. An airdrop can be in form of Tokens, NFTs, Merchs etc.
Some Airdrop event may require certain criteria to qualify for the event, such as holding specific Assets or performing some task which may include registering on the platform, referring task, posting about this project on social media etc. Some may require small amount of gas fee to claim rewards, this is usually done by connecting your wallet to the project site. Participants must also be careful on the kind of sites they connect their wallet to as some may swoop their current assets.
However, it’s important to know that crypto Airdrops are usually free, A legitimate crypto project never seeks capital investment in the currency. fake crypto projects often ask users to send some amount of tokens for verification or as gas fees, these are marked as fake and scam.
