My Journey At Nsonye Learning Program (Cohort 3)
The Nsonye - Bridging the Tech Gender-gap learning program (Cohort 3) came in at a crucial time where I have to balance between my school activities and Learning my skill. The program was aimed in giving people like me the opportunity to learn and have a skill in tech. The program was a success as it was able to achieve it's goals of equipping participants with the basic knowledge we need to kick start a career in tech.
In the program, we were constantly given tasks each week and a biweekly project to test our skills and knowledge. It wasn’t too challenging to complete the tasks and project as the instructors were always around to assist us in challenging areas.
The captone project brought us into the reality of working as a team to achieve one goal. I was not really all on it because of My school exams. I tried hard to keep up with what my team where doing, worked with a team of nine as a project manager and it was a successful one though a bit challenging. The project helped enhance my tech skill and the soft skills I needed also.
Overall, my journey with the Nsonye learning program has been a wonderful one. I am thankful for the support and encouragement of the instructors and the chance to build a powerful network of industry professionals, it was delight to meet with like minded individuals. I would also love to appreciate my team (team perl), It was nice working with them.
Thank you Nsonye! Long Live Nsonye!
